Refund Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective 2026-08-22 · Last updated 2026-08-22

A bid buys immediate activation of a promotional placement at the amount you paid — not a rank, a duration, or a result. This policy explains what that means for refunds.

Generally Not Refundable

A completed placement is generally not refundable merely because:

  • another listing outbid yours;
  • your rank fell after activation;
  • the listing received fewer clicks than you hoped;
  • the listing produced no leads or conversions;
  • you changed your mind after activation.

Rankings on a live board change whenever anyone else completes a bid — that is the product working as described, not a defect.

What We Do Refund

  • Duplicate charges for the same placement.
  • Confirmed payment errors (for example, you were charged an incorrect amount).
  • Technical failure on our side where the placement was never activated.
  • Refunds required by applicable law.
  • Refunds mandated by the payment provider.
  • Other exceptions the operator approves case by case.

If a listing is rejected before activation, the payment is refunded.

Policy Violations After Activation

If a listing is removed after activation for violating the Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, removal is handled under the Terms, and any refund treatment follows this policy and applicable law.

How to Request a Refund

Email support@thetopboard.com and include:

  • the email address used at checkout;
  • the transaction identifier or payment confirmation;
  • the listing URL;
  • what happened and why you believe a refund applies.

We aim to respond within a few business days. Approved refunds are returned through the original payment method via the payment provider.

Statutory Rights

Where consumer protection law mandatorily applies to a purchase, nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot be limited under that law.
